Providence Meadow is the culmination of our love for animals

We are a caique-specific parrot sanctuary.

Caiques are all we do here at Providence Meadow, and we make it our mission to help educate other parronts in the ups and downs of caique companions.

10/30/2023: An important update from Providence Meadow.

As most of you know, we are well above our available capacity here at the Meadow, and as much as we would love to take in every beautiful little that needs a home, we do have to be realistic as to our abilities, while still providing a loving, caring home to our current flock.

Sadly, this means that for the foreseeable future, the Providence Meadow Caique Sanctuary will no longer be accepting intakes.

We are not closing or changing our daily operations.

We will continue to post updates as we do, share our experiences, love and care for our flock, and above all we will continue to support other rescues in need.

There is simply no room left at the inn for additional caiques at the Meadow.

For anyone needing to rehome their caique(s), our recommendation is to reach out to established, proper parrot rescues in your area.

Established rescues have procedures in place to find and/or assist in the finding of suitable homes for those parrots relinquished to them.

Please do not post your caique(s) on Craigslist or other classified ad based resources, as flippers, breeders and perhaps worse use those sites for easily accessible and/or saleable parrots. 🥺

This has been a heartbreaking decision to have to make, as we would save every caique possible if we could, but there is only so much space available.

We ask for your understanding in this decision, and we thank you for your continuing support of the Providence Meadow Caique Sanctuary.
